There are a couple of ways to change the order of how your WordPress coupons are displayed on your site.
- Option 1: Change archive sort order in WP Coupons settings
- Option 2: Change the “Published on” date
- Option 3: Drag and drop your coupons
Option 1: Change archive sort order in WP Coupons settings
Your first option is to use the setting in the WP Coupons plugin.
Step 1
Click into the WP Coupons plugin settings.
Step 2
Click on the “Display Options” tab.
Step 3
Scroll down and under “Sort Order” select the order you prefer. The following are available:
- Date (default)
- Last modified
- Title
- Random
Note: For the random order, it does take caching into consideration. For performance reasons, we don’t bypass caching. Typical caching setups expire every hour or every couple of hours so every fresh uncached visit would be in a random new order.
Step 4
Scroll down and click “Save Changes.”
Option 2: Change the “Published on” date
Posts in WordPress by default are sorted by descending order. You can re-order your WordPress Coupons by changing the “Published on” date within the post editor on the coupon.
Option 3: Drag and drop your coupons
If you want an even easier option, you can install the free “Post Types Order” plugin and drag and drop your WordPress Coupons post types around in any order that you want.
After installing the plugin click into “Re-Order” under “Coupons” and you can then drag and drop your coupons in the order you prefer.
