How to customize your coupon panel display options

Customize your coupon panel display options.

Call to Action Text

This will change the call to action text on all coupon panels and buttons. Default: Get This Deal | Max Length: 25 Characters

Display Discount Codes

If checked, discount codes will be displayed on coupon panels across all views. Default: Unchecked

Click to Reveal

Due to popular demand, we now have a “click to reveal coupons” option. This works just like it does on popular coupon sites like RetailMeNot. To enable this feature, simply click into the WP Coupons options and enable “Click to Reveal.”

If checked, discount codes will be hidden by default and require the user to click to reveal a popup with the discount code, and a link to the deal. Default: Unchecked.

Click to Reveal Text

You can change the default text that is displayed by adding your own in the Click to Reveal Text option.

Click to Reveal Behavior

There are two options for the behavior:

  • New tab + Popup (this behavior is similar to RetailMeNot)
  • Popup Only

When enabled it will show a “Click to Reveal” on the following four locations:

And below is an example of what the popup looks like. A visitor can click “Copy” to copy the code to their clipboard. If you have the new tab option enabled, it also opens up the location in a new tab.

Hide No Code Needed

If checked, the No Code Needed box will not be displayed on single coupon posts if there is no discount code present. Default: Unchecked

No Code Needed Text

This will change the text displayed on single coupon posts when no discount code is present. Default: No Code Needed

Title Tag

This will control the HTML tag used to display the title on your coupon panels.

Description Height

This will change the height of the coupon description container on your coupon panels. Default: 90px

Display Expiration Dates

If checked, expiration dates will be displayed on coupon panels across all views if they are set. Default: Unchecked

Expiration Behavior

This will control the behavior of coupon posts that pass their expiration date.

Expiration Recurrence

This will control the frequency that coupon post expiration dates are verified.

This will control the behavior of coupon panel links. There are a few options available.

Default: All links will default to the local coupon post unless overridden by the individual coupon’s meta settings.
Direct: All links will go directly to the discount URL if one is set for the coupon.
Split: Only the call to action link will go directly to the discount URL if one is set. When Click to Reveal is enabled, this allows the title link to still go through to the local coupon post.

Hide Coupon Type Labels

If checked, the Coupon Type labels will no longer be displayed on coupon panels in any view. Default: Unchecked

Placeholder Image

Add an image URL here to replace the placeholder image that is used for coupon panels with no featured image.
